Project Summary
Robinson was awarded a contract from the Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri (CCSOMO) to perform as the general contractor for the construction of a LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home in downtown Cape Girardeau. LifeHouse Cape Girardeau is the outcome of countless supporters in the area who wanted to meet the needs of this population, which a feasibility study determined to be substantial. The 15-unit, 17,000 sq ft facility will serve homeless pregnant women of southeastern Missouri, along with their young children and newborn babies. The new facility in Cape Girardeau is modeled after the original LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home located in Springfield, MO and is scheduled to begin receiving clients in early 2024.
Robinson’s scope of work on the project includes construction of a 17,000 sq ft, single story, wood framed building with installation of the following: building and site concrete; masonry; structural and miscellaneous steel; rough carpentry; damp- proofing; thermal insulation; foam insulation; air barrier; shingles; sealants; doors, frames, and associated hardware; aluminum storefront; vinyl windows; skylights; drywall; ceramic tile; acoustical ceilings; wood flooring; resilient tile & base; resinous floor; carpet; painting; interior and exterior building signage; cabinets; parking control equipment; appliances; window coverings; residential casework; Quartz countertops; fire sprinkler; plumbing; site utilities; HVAC; electric; excavation; asphalt paving; unit pavers; site furnishings; landscaping; irrigation system; and storage sheds.
